Baytul Haram - The Honorable House

The longing for visiting the house of Allah (S.W.T) brings this to our table today.

In the last 3 months, the performance of Umrah is on a standstill since the emergence of the pandemic. Regardless of this, whether we’re planning to visit it soon or ever been opportune to be there in our lifetime, reminiscing on it can keep our emotions in an evocative state.

What a sacred house to behold!

There are rare features unknown to us about the small, cubed building constructed and reconstructed by Prophets Adam, Ibrahim, Ismail and Muhammad (peace be upon them all).

As referenced in the Qur’an:

“And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], “Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing”.

(Surah Al Baqarah 2 vs 127)

Surely,Being a Muslim is an honor & blessing.

The Ka’baah may not rival skyscrapers in height or mansions in width, but its impact on Islamic history and human spirituality is unmatched. It’s significance is highly inestimable.

Our golden Ka’abah also known as Bayt-tul Atiiq is embellished around these wonderful components.👇

▫️ Door of Ka’abah

This is the entrance of the Ka’bah on its eastern side.

▫️ Hajara Aswad The black stone.

Tawaf begins and ends facing here, Kissing it is also meritorious act.

“By Allah! On the Day of Qiyamah, Allah will present the Hajar al-Aswad in such a manner that it will have two eyes and a tongue to testify to the Imaan (faith) of all those who kissed it.”

▫️ Ruknul Yemeni

This corner is situated on the side of the Ka’bah which faces the land of Yemen.

This corner is where an hajji utters the dua

“Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil ‘akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar.”

“Our Lord! Grant us Good In This World And Good In The Hereafter, And Save Us From The Chastisement Of The Fire.” (2:201)

▫️ Hijr Ismail.

This is the crescent shaped area immediately adjacent to the Ka’bah, constructed a shelter for Ismail (عليه السلام) and his mother Hajrah (upon her be peace).

The Ka’bah is the building towards which Muslims all over the world face five times a day, everyday, in prayer. (Qibla)

“We have certainly seen the turning of your face, [O Muhammad], toward the heaven, and We will surely turn you to a qiblah with which you will be pleased. So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces toward it [in prayer]. Indeed, those who have been given the Scripture well know that it is the truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.”

(Surah Al-Baqarah 2 vs 144.)

May Allah S.W.T see us through this period of uncertainty & grant us the grace to visit the Masjid-ul-Haram soonest inshaa Allah.

Thrilling right!

Don’t you wish to be here soon?

What agency would you choose to actualize your Hajj & Umrah dreams without hassle.?
